BLUES WORLD web site publishes articles, interviews, scholarly research and photographs relating to blues, jazz, hillbilly and gospel music. It also provides links to important, excellent and reputable resources of CDs, books, magazines and discographies relating to blues, jazz, gospel and hillbilly music. There is also an extensive page of links to other blues and 78 rpm related web sites. BLUES WORLD has been on the web since 1996.

Joel Slotnikoff, the publisher of BLUES WORLD, has been conducting regular auctions of rare blues, jazz gospel, hillbilly, ethnic, rock and roll, vocal group, novelty, comedy and spoken word 78 rpm phonograph records for the past 12 years. There are normally three auctions a year closing in January, May and September, of approximately 2000 78 rpm records each. There are also Set Price Sales of unsold items on this website. Auction #41 of 1796 rare jazz, blues, hillbilly, gospel, rock and roll, vocal group and ethnic 78 rpm phonograph records is now over.

The next 78 rpm record auction will appear in August and close in September. The Set Sales (#40 and #39B) containing several thousand more records, are also closed. New ones will appear in conjunction with the next auction.

We pay top prices for collections of rare 78 rpm phonograph records.

We also accept consignments of quality, collectable 78 rpm phonograph records on favorable terms.
